Frequently asked questions
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.
Which towns do you serve?
Broom and Salt Organizing is based in Quincy, Massachusetts, and serves the surrounding areas. Please contact us to confirm service availability in your specific location.
Is the process confidential?
Yes, absolutely. All our services are strictly confidential. We even have a client agreement that outlines clear rules regarding your privacy and the sensitive nature of your personal space.
How long will it take?
The duration of each project varies depending on the scope and your specific needs. We'll discuss an estimated timeline during your initial consultation.
What's your method?
Our method is tailored to your unique situation. Taking inspiration from KonMari, Swedish Death Cleaning, and other popular techniques, we work collaboratively to declutter your space and create sustainable systems that fit your lifestyle.
What are your fees?
We strive to be transparent with all pricing. Clients pay an initial non-refundable consultation fee of 25, and an hourly rate will be discussed for on-site services. Sliding scale may be available in some cases, and hourly discounts may be available for longer term projects. Services from other vendors (ie junk removal, handymen) will be billed independently by those parties. Special requests (such as Sunday or night time hours) may incur additional fees.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No, you don't need to do anything in advance. We'll guide you through the entire process, step by step, from our initial consultation.
What payment methods do you accept?
At this moment we are accepting Venmo, Cash, and Check
Are you a cleaning service?
While organizing often involves tidying, we are not a cleaning service. Our focus is on creating functional and organized spaces. We are happy to facilitate a referral to a reputable cleaner. For serious hoarding cases, we may need to partner with a mental health professional.
Can you refer me to other services?
Yes, we can refer clients to other services as needed, ranging from nonprofit organizations to junk/pest removal to contractors who can install features like closets.
What are your working hours?
Our typical on-site shifts are from 3-5 hours long during the day. Zoom consultations may take place as early as 7am or as late as 7:30 pm. Please note that we do not work on Sundays.
